Vampire Wars Combat Abilities

Vampire Wars Combat Abilities. I’d like to provide a detailed explanation on how combat works, at least as detailed as I can without the privilege of looking at the code. Please note that this only addresses abilities only, it does not address attack/defense stats.

Each ability you have has two stats one for offense and one for defense. for the purpose of this tutorial offensive stats will be in pink and defensive stats will be in blue.

when you attack some one the game calculates the total of your abilities attack stats, somehow factors in your base attack stat(the one you allocate points to on level-up), then calculates the total of your opponents abilities defense stats and somehow factors in their base defense.

so, for example, you have 20 clan members and the following abilities:
attack
5 pyros 55 15
4 Ironic Annihilation 35 20
4 vampire lords 17 18
10 Claws of the Demon 25 9
12 horrific transformations 16 14

movement
10 move silently 42 42
8 dodge daylight 17 17
5 flight 15 14

defense
20 intimidation 3 28
10 winged guards 5 30
15 impervious 4 8

when you attack you will use the following:
5 pyrokinesis, 4 ironic annihilation, 10 Claws of the Demon, 1 vampire lord, 10 move silently, 8 dodge daylight, 2 flight, 10 winded guards, 10 impervious

when you are being attacked they will see the following:
4 ironic annihilation, 4 vampire lords, 5 pyrokineses, 7 horrific transformations, 10 move silently, 8 dodge daylight, 2 flight, 20 intimidations

note how when you attack you wont see your horrific transformations (16 14) used b/c they have the lowest attack score, but you still need them when some one attacks you b/c they have a higher defense score than CotD. along the same lines you will not see your intimidations (3 28) when you attack, but others will see it when they attack you.

Note :
- The abilities that you will use in combat are highlighted on your stat page. when you attack some one you have the option of checking what they defended with.

- You cannot choose the abilities that are used during combat. The game will choose your most effective abilities and use them during combat.

- While you attack/defense skill point allocation might not make a huge difference for about the 1st 20 lvls (it will mostly be about getting the best abilities and increasing your clan), later on, especially once you get to lvl 70, how much you have allocated to your attack and defense will become very important, so keep that in mind as you lvl.

When being attacked, it would use 10 Winged Guard and 10 Intimidation as Winged Guard has a 30 defense and Intimidation is only 28.
