My Empire Tips And Tricks ! if you already read how to play empire and know how this playfish game works then you should read some tips and tricks for my empire !

Strategy notes :
1. In my empire fame is everything if you want to level up fast, so do everything that you can to increase fame.
a. Buy buildings
b. Research
c. Buy houses
If you have lots of money but you don’t buy anything, your fame won’t increase. Fame is basically your experience. So if you don’t increase fame, you can’t level up. Hovering over your Fame points will show you how much more fame you need.
2. what is the easiest way to gain happiness on my empire ?
Publish the free buildings! They are free and they only need a few friends to help you.. Right now I am constantly publishing the City court, which gives 300 happiness and only needs 8 people to click it. There is no limit to the number of city courts or other buildings you have. The happiness WILL STACK. Fame will stack too. So I suggest save your money to buy houses.
3. Why do I have to increase my empire population?
An increase in population will increase the money you get from the tax collector. Right now I have 2000+ people, and there’s a little note at the tax collector area that says that my tax will increase when I reach 4000 people. So I’m working on that.
4. Is it better to get a tax collector that gets tax every 5 minutes or every 12 hours ?
You will get more money if you claim tax every 5 minutes. The shorter the interval the better. But if you don’t have time to play like this, get the tax collector depending on your schedule. I’m in front of the PC the whole day, so this is not a problem.
5. Not enough room for more decorations on my empire ? contributed by Prince of Ice
Pavements are a great way to utilize space. Placing a pavement first, then placing any size decor or building over a pavement will utilize lesser space but get you more fame. This tip will probably be used more by people who are further along in the game. I think it’s still better to save money for buildings, research and house.
Now, take note that i said PAVEMENT, NOT ROAD. Roads, may look like pavements, but just like real roads, you CANNOT place things over it. Even decor that just cover 1 tile, cannot be placed over 1 tile of ROAD. So be sure to check what you are buying.
Another note is that Roads are not necessary in game. People can “get around” just fine with or without roads.. Roads are just another kind of decor that contributes some fame and happiness.
6. No My Empire friends ?
If you have playfish playing friends, one of them is bound to be playing ME already. I know it SUCKS to invite non players because you don’t wanna flood their feeds.. You should know by now that my empire is a feed flooding game. If you just want to add friends who play already, keep an eye out for friends posting their “help wanted to create so and so building”.
If you see them, then send them an invite. Same goes for people who you get from the Forum, after adding them to your facebook, send them a My empire invite. Unlike other Playfish games, you have to add people MANUALLY. Yes: it sucks.
but if you don’t want to add manually maybe you can use my empire cheats to add neighbors without being friend 
7. Ways to make money in my empire :
- Tax collecting – the most basic ways to make money in the game.
- Visiting neighbors – First visit gives 500 coins, Next visits give less, but money is money
- daily logging in – every day, the game gives out coins.. so make sure to log in at least once a day.
- Hall – upgrading your hall increases your tax by a small but somewhat significant percentage
- Market – upgrading your market increases the amount of money you get from visiting friends
- Helping people build their free buildings – keep an eye out for people posting feeds. helping gives 50 bucks! If they post another feed, help again! I’m sure they’d appreciate your help too.

and here are some mistakes that you must avoid on my empire
credits to huijin – Mistakes I Made So Far :
1. Upgrading the mill, quarry and mine at the wrong time.
The best time to upgrade them is AFTER we have collected the resources. Any other time is a bad time as the clock resets and we will need another 24 hours to collect the resources.
2. Buying blue huts, compact lodges and brick houses.
I was under the impression that with more population there will be more income. And when the guy at the top right corner says, “build more houses”, it should be good advice. Oh boy, was I wrong. Yes, we get more income but it is so insignificant that the money would have been better spent at “research”.
Furthermore, I had to demolish all of them once I reached the level where I was able to buy marble mansion.
10000 population – 184 coins for 5-min tax
20000 population – 189 coins for 5-min tax
30000 population – 195 coins for 5-min tax
3. Building village pavements and roads. A waste of money (with the exception of the free village road).
4. Buying Town Bath. Will be demolishing it and use the space for royal bath.
5. Buying Village Workshop, Blacksmith. Will be demolishing and replacing with royal buildings.
6. Building a second Wonder when my first was not completed. I still have not completed any Wonder.
7. Not clicking on the tick button when building Wonder. We needed to click that tick button to use the resources when building Wonder.
8. Focusing on Fame and Happiness instead of Money.
Fame & happiness can be easily by building free buildings, demolishing them and building again. However, the objective of the game is not to level up fast. Otherwise, once you reach level 50 it is game over. Money on the other hand is difficult to come by. The most profitable way of earning money is to add new friends and clicking on the taxman. Visiting friends and helping friends to build free buildings will also give us coins (but not much).
9. Not demolishing the free buildings sooner.
When a building is demolished, we only lose the happiness associated with it. The fame is not affected. But by having a new building, we get happiness and fame. The reason for the demolition is because of limited space.

a few tips and questions:
1) For finding out which friends are using the application, go to My Empire’s page on facebook. One way to get there is by clicking the “News” icon at the top of your game. On the left, there’s a box called “Information”, under which it tells you how many users are using this application. If you have friends using this application, it will tell you how many there are (ie. Users:3,910,205 monthly active users,
4 friends). Click on the words “4 friends” (or whatever the number is) and you should see specifically who they’re referring to.
2) On any application, when there’s a pop-up to ask if you want to publish something onto your facebook wall, there should be a lock icon beside “Publish”. Click on it and click on “Customize”. A new pop up appears. Click on the drop down list and select “Specific People”. You can then choose who to send it to so you don’t spam all your other friends. My next point is related to this.
3) Related to point number 2, when you choose specific people, you can type in their names, or type in a group name. Go to Account (top right of any facebook page), click on “Edit Friends”. In the page that pops up, go to the left hand column and find “Lists”. Click on “Friends” and you should see everyone in your friends list. Click on “Create New List” at the top left of your list of friends and follow the instructions. Let’s say you created a list called “MyEmpire” and added everyone who plays My Empire onto the list. When you choose “Specific People” when publishing something (see point #2 above), begin typing “MyEmpire” and it should see that as a choice.
Aaaaand a question:
It says I get coins for visiting my friends “each day”. When does a day start? At a specific time, or “24 hours since the last time you received coins for visiting your friend”?

Great tip on the distribution list. As a professional I don’t need all my colleagues seeing that I’m playing games in my free time, but I enjoy going back and forth with my friends that do. Having a dist list will make that much easier.
I’ve noticed the 24 hour thing on visiting and sending gifts. The only way to know if you’ve already sent a gift in the last 24 hours (which really should be changed to 22 or 20) is if their name doesn’t come up when you go to send.
I do believe it is in the past 24 hours since your last visit/send as you suspected.

Mates – don’t waste money and happiness demolishing old buildings and building new ones. You can build on Volcano island which has a ton of space!!
